On being a mom

I did this layout for a challenge with a scrapbooking blog. The challenge was to come out with something relating to being a mother, or about your mother or something within those lines. Here's my take. Done with a Pink Paislee Vintage Moon overlay, available in the store.



Materials: Pink Paislee Vintage Moon overlay, Rusty Pickle mother stickers, G45 Hip to the Jive pattern paper, Around the Block chipboard, various chipboards and pattern paper, rub-ons and dymo.

Parents Appreciation Week

Over the Raya holidays, I dug up some old photos of my mom-in-law and my parents to use on the chipboards I bought. They were both really simple LOs because I wanted to do finish it quickly.


For my mom in-law's LO, I painted the chipboard with Jo Sonja's Cashmere background colour, then used crackle medium on it, then splatter Jo Sonja's Yellow Oxide acryllic gouache, then another coat of Cashmere. However, the cracks didn't appear as distinct as I wanted them to be, oh well... LOL.

For my parent's LO, I just used Pink Paislee's Moon Glade paper on the chipboard. I printed out the captoion, used some bling, and embossed the flower chipboard, and VOILA! Lazy person's scrapping work.

At long last...

Finally, I've got the store updated. I've put in the Pink Paislee stuff on, and soon some ribbons will be uploaded. Fingers crossed, all these will be done by tonight. In the next few days, will have other embellishments in the shop, including some from Around the Block. Trying my best to get that all up before the Hari Raya break.
